Dry needling is the use of fine needles to stimulate the repair of highly sensitive muscle or fascia fibers that are causing pain. Whether the result of sitting at a desk for too long, overuse or trauma from a sport or other activity, or from day-to-day stress, injury to muscle and connective tissue is the most common cause and contributor to pain.

The needle gently stimulates the highly reactive fibers, or trigger points, along with surrounding tissue, often eliciting a “light twitch” (reflex) response and provoking the sensitive fibers to respond by protecting and repairing themselves.

Acupuncture

We draw on extensive east-west training to diagnose and treat the underlying causes of stress, pain, internal disease, and precursors of injury. Acupuncture is suitable for many types of pain and disease due to its strong balancing effect on the musculo-skeletal, neurological and meridian systems. A series of treatments is recommended to experience the full benefits.

Functional Medicine: First appt is in person, follow ups can be tele-medicine or in person

Functional Medicine is a scientific approach of using the latest in laboratory testing to assess the functional ability of the three major body systems, the neuroendocrine function, digestion, and the detox pathways. Once the origin of disease is identified medical grade supplements and lifestyle change are used to correct disease and permanently restore health and vitality.

Cupping and Graston/Gua Sha

Relieves pain and stiffness by promoting blood flow, breaking up adhesive tissue and releasing toxins. Includes fascia release massage as needed
